Before Your CourseYou’ll need a full car (category B) licence, provisional LGV entitlement added to your licence (via the DVLA D2 application and a D4 medical), and to pass the LGV theory tests before practical training. We can talk you through each step — give us a call if you’re not sure where you are in the process.
Licences & EligibilityYes. A D4 medical examination is required to add provisional LGV entitlement to your licence. We can point you to where to get one if needed.
Licences & EligibilityFor LGV the usual minimum age is 18 (sometimes earlier under specific schemes). Most plant, forklift and ADR courses are 18+. If you’re unsure whether you qualify, contact us and we’ll check for your situation.
Licences & EligibilityProfessional LGV and PCV drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training every 5 years to keep their Driver Qualification Card (DQC). We deliver this as a series of 7-hour modules — you can do them across the year.

CoursesCertificates are issued after you successfully complete your course; the exact timescale depends on the awarding body. You’ll be able to see your training records and any digital certificates in your student portal.
